Editing lesson content, structure, quizzes, etc.

Courseau generates a first draft of content based on the lesson objectives and your course parameters. We strongly recommend that all content be checked by a subject-matter expert before publishing.


πŸ“Ό Insert content

  1. Click anywhere while in editing mode

  2. Select item you'd like to insert

  3. Click + Drag the item around on the page


βž• Add new card or lesson

  1. Click on the + New button on top right navigation

  2. Select a layout and content type

  3. To generate the card/lesson with AI, make sure the [generate with AI] toggle is ON, and optionally insert a topic. If no topic is added, we will generate a relevant card/lesson based on your course contents.

  4. To add a blank card/lesson, make sure the [generate with AI] toggle is OFF.


✏️ Editing & formatting

Highlight to edit: Highlight the text to find AI helper and formatting options. From there, you can format your content, add a link, or use AI to help you edit

Edit images: Hover over the image to reveal the edit toolbar

Edit quiz / card/ elements: Hover over any quiz, card or carousel element and click on the ✎ pencil Icon.

  • Toggle on the correct answer(s)

  • The questions, answers and rationales can all be edited

  • Delete answers you don't want

Coming soon: ability to make quizzes mandatory and scored


πŸ”ƒ Regenerate a card or entire lesson

Don't like a card and want to let AI regenerate it? Do the following:

  1. Press the ⟳ update icon on the top navigation

  2. Input a new topic the new card should be about.

  3. Click [Regenerate Card]

Though rarely necessary, if you want to redo the entire lesson:

  1. Press the ⟳ update icon on the top navigation

  2. Go to [edit lesson]

  3. You'll see the lesson outcomes originally associated with the course outline. These can be edited.

  4. Click [Rewrite Lesson]
