The ultimate guide on editing, regenerating, etc.

Courseau generates a first draft of content based on the lesson objectives and your course parameters. We strongly recommend that all content be checked by a subject-matter expert before publishing.

📼 Insert content

  1. Click anywhere while in editing mode

  2. Select item you'd like to insert (images, videos, quizzes, callouts, etc)

  3. Click & drag the item around on the page to arrange


🏛️ Add columns

  1. Hover over top right of the card to reveal the column menu

  2. Select 2, 3, or 4 columns

  3. Delete the columns to make content full-width


➕ Add new card, lesson, or exam

  1. Click on the [+ New] button on top left navigation

  2. You can choose the kind of content you would like to add, including quizzes, key takeaways, examples, and more.

  3. Optionally insert a topic. If no topic is added, we will generate a relevant card/lesson based on your course contents.

  4. At the bottom of your screen, you'll see the setting menu corresponding to your card/lesson/exam. This is where you can regenerate content or change exam parameters.

💡 To add a blank card/lesson/exam, make sure the [generate with AI] toggle is OFF.


✏️ Editing & formatting

Highlight to edit: Highlight the text to find AI helper and formatting options. From there, you can format your content, add a link, or use AI to help you edit.

Edit quiz / card/ elements: Hover over any quiz, card or carousel element and click on the ✎ pencil Icon.

  • Toggle on the correct answer(s)

  • The questions, answers and rationales can all be edited

  • Delete answers you don't want


🖼️ Replace or add images:

  1. To replace an image, over over it to reveal the edit toolbar and click [replace]

  2. You can generate an image using AI, select from the free stock image selection, or upload an image from your computer.

  3. Choose between portrait or landscape

  • If your uploaded sources contained any images, you can find these the the [from sources] tab on the left.


🪜 Rearranging your lessons and card

Hover on the item in the left panel.

A small [drag] icon will appear so that you can begin dragging it around. You can use this function to group quiz questions together, for example.


🔃 Regenerate a card or entire lesson

Let AI regenerate it an entire card or lesson.

  1. Press the ⟳ update icon on the floating navigation

  2. Input a new topic the new card or lesson should be about.

  3. Click [Regenerate]

Though rarely necessary, you can also re-generate the entire lesson:

  1. Press the 3-dot icon on the top navigation

  2. Go to [edit lesson]

  3. You'll see the lesson outcomes originally associated with the course outline. These can be edited.

  4. Click [Rewrite Lesson]
